The Role: Venus Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated paralegal to provide high-level legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and the broader Legal function. This role requires significant experience, strong organizational skills, and deep familiarity with the requirements of operating in a defense, aerospace, government, or government-adjacent setting.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Support contract drafting, review, redlining, and lifecycle management, including tracking deadlines, obligations, and approvals
  • Assist with managing corporate governance artifacts, including board consents, resolutions, subsidiary records, and regulatory filings
  • Coordinate execution of government and commercial agreements and maintain structured documentation repositories
  • Conduct legal and factual research, including government procurement requirements, FAR/DFARS citations, regulatory updates, and compliance obligations
  • Prepare and organize materials for audits, government inquiries, and compliance reviews (CUI, cybersecurity, export controls)
  • Assist the General Counsel with due diligence, financing activities, and board documentation
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, including litigation, IP, corporate, and regulatory counsel

What You Have

  • 8-10+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government setting
  • Active paralegal certification or degree
  • Experience supporting legal work in a defense, aerospace, government, or government-adjacent environment
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes, FAR/DFARS, procurement workflows, and compliance obligations
  • Excellent organizational skills, exacting attention to detail, and strong writing and communication skills

Location: This is a full-time salaried position with the flexibility of working remotely or from our headquarters located on the Ellington Air Field in Houston, Texas.
