Litigation Paralegal - Personal Injury

Litigation Paralegals work closely with senior-level attorneys and team members in managing complex litigation cases.  This team player has a friendly, positive attitude and a high level of professionalism who will play a key supporting role to ensure our clients are well served.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Managing, organizing and facilitating complex litigation cases involving multiple parties and counsel
• Collecting, managing, organizing, and reviewing large volumes of discovery documents electronically
• Well-developed writing and research skills
• Drafting pleadings, discovery, and routine correspondence
• Applying both state and federal court rules of civil procedure
• Calculating, calendaring and tracking court deadlines, and coordinating the scheduling of depositions, mediations, hearings and trials

Qualifications:

The position requires:

• 5+ years of progressive complex civil litigation paralegal experience
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people
• The ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
• The ability to work with limited supervision
• The ability to effectively instruct and direct administrative staff
• The ability to anticipate attorney needs, identifying problems and finding solutions
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high volume of workload
• Experience in managing electronic and paper filing systems
• Experience preparing for and attending arbitration, mediation, and trial
