Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly, collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Paralegal. This position is in an office environment. Role may work hybrid for employees based in Oregon. Domestic or international travel may be necessary 1-2 times per year for meetings, trainings, events, and collaboration with global team.

 

The Fall Creek Paralegal reports to the Legal Operations Manager and collaborates closely with attorneys, internal stakeholders across all departments, and external partners including outside counsel, vendors, customers, and regulators. The position supports both day-to day legal operations and broader departmental and company-wide initiatives.This role combines traditional paralegal responsibilities such as legal research, document preparation, and compliance support, along with coordination of legal processes and systems, providing legal operations and administrative support.The position requires strong organizational, project coordination and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under moderate supervision while delivering high-quality, timely support across a range of legal and business initiatives.

What you'll do at Fall Creek:

 
  • Support legal and cross-functional projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and company-wide initiatives; coordinate stakeholders, track action items, and ensure follow-through.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries to support attorneys and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain corporate records and support entity management for the Company and its subsidiaries, including coordination of annual compliance requirements and filings and interaction with outside counsel.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for corporate information anddocumentation.
  • Assist in the drafting, review, execution, and tracking of contracts, including consulting agreements, vendor agreements, commercial agreements, licensing agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Support the management of contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes and workflows, including intake, routing, and recordkeeping.
  • Provide ongoing support to users of legal systems (e.g., CLM, eBilling, IP management tools), and serve as a backup administrator as needed.
  • Assist with the implementation and improvement of legal technologies, workflows, and operational processes.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and offboarding, including collection of required documentation, system setup, and tracking of assignments and budgets.
  • Assist in due diligence activities and internal investigations, including but not limited to responses to subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and other information requests, under attorney guidance.
  • Assist with the registration, maintenance, and protection of intellectual property assets globally, including preparation and coordination of filings.
  • Review marketing materials and external communications for potential legal or compliance issues, escalating as needed
  • Coordinate execution of legal documents, including obtaining signatures and providing notarial services (or willingness to obtain notary certification).
  • Maintain organized document management systems and ensure accuracy and completeness of legal records.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Support and promote Fall Creek’s core values and corporate culture.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
 
 

What you bring to Fall Creek:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field, paralegal certificate from an accredited program OR a combination of education and experience equivalent to 5+ years progressive 
    responsibilities as paralegal.
  • Experience with DocuSign, Salesforce, CLM systems, IP management tools, and legal spend/matter management platforms.
  • Exposure to legal operations, process improvement, or project coordination work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting projects, managing multiple tasks, and navigating a large, matrixed organization.
  • Experience working with a diverse group of people/teams and working successfully on collaborative teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain notary certification (company-sponsored).
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-cultural environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally and internationally
