Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an interim Paralegal.
Overview: Major, Lindsey & Africa Interim is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal to serve as a key member of our client’s Legal Department, supporting Capital Markets operations. This role will act as a central resource supporting corporate governance, entity management, legal document administration, and compliance-related processes, helping to ensure efficient and scalable legal workflows. The Paralegal will support day-to-day legal operations, including deal tracking, documentation management, contract review, and legal oversight initiatives. Working closely with the Capital Markets team, this Paralegal will enhance visibility, streamline processes, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a demonstrated commitment to precision, efficiency, and professionalism.

Responsibilities Include:
Deal Memo Management & Documentation:
- Ensure that new deal memos are prepared for new engagements; Liaise with Business and Finance teams as needed.
- Support the Legal and Business teams in gathering all materials (financials, deal memos, etc.) and ensure timely submission to internal committees.
- Maintain and update deal pipelines in Asana for Capital Markets, working with teams to ensure all parties and details are included and updated in the system.
- Use Asana to automate workflows, ensuring that routine tasks and deal steps are tracked.
- Liaise with Compliance team for required deal information as needed.
- Work closely with team members to ensure that Control Room needs are fulfilled and approvals are properly logged into the system. The Paralegal will be responsible for entering parties into the Control Room.
- Perform legal due diligence on active securitization transactions.
- Collaborate with Technology and Compliance teams to improve the flow of legal information and data between systems like Asana and the Control Room.
- Contribute to the optimization of legal workflows and collaborating with Legal teammates, ensuring that systems are integrated efficiently and that legal data is easily accessible across platforms.
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution
- 3-6 years of paralegal experience supporting investment banking, financial services, or sophisticated corporate transactional legal teams; capital markets experience preferred but not required
- Experience reviewing and interpreting financial and due diligence documents and preparing / reviewing NDAs and other standard commercial documents
- Proficient in Asana electronic platform, DocuSign, and SharePoint
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to track multiple deals simultaneously
- Able to take notes during meetings and work closely with junior bankers, compliance teams, and external counsel to ensure deals are executed in line with legal and regulatory requirements
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly structured fast-paced, process‑oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
