Paralegal Specialist – SIU Insurance Defense (Hybrid, NY Metro or FL)

This role supports the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and is open to candidates located in the New York metro/Westchester area or within the state of Florida, with the expectation of attending the office as needed. You'll work closely with experienced attorneys on insurance litigation matters, supporting federal court cases involving pleadings, discovery, and motion practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial preparation
• Draft and file pleadings, and support discovery and motion practice for attorney review
• Handle e-filing in federal courts and ensure compliance with applicable rules and procedures
• Support SIU-related litigation matters, including cases involving insurance fraud and complex claims
• Prepare arbitration and trial materials, including exhibits and supporting documentation
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance

Minimum Requirements

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, or an equivalent combination of education and 5 years paralegal experience
• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance litigation or insurance defense
• Experience supporting federal court litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and filings
• Advanced Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and case management

Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
