Trademark Paralegal

Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, has an opening for an IP Trademark Paralegal to join our California offices. Sheppard Mullin is currently hiring an experienced, well-organized Trademark Paralegal to support trademark IP attorneys in all aspects of trademark prosecution. This includes conducting research, preparing and filing legal documents, communicating with clients and government agencies, and maintaining accurate records. The job requires extensive knowledge of U.S. and Foreign trademark prosecution rules and procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in trademark prosecution and US and foreign filings.

Primary Responsibilities: Conduct and analyze preliminary trademark clearance searches; prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, responses to office actions, statements of use, renewals, and other USPTO filings; prepare and file Madrid Protocol international applications and WIPO renewals; correspond with foreign associates; record ownership transfers, security agreements, and releases with the USPTO and WIPO; manage and monitor U.S. and foreign trademark dockets and portfolios; assist with TTAB proceedings and enforcement matters.

Required Qualifications: 4-7 years of trademark prosecution experience in a law firm; knowledge of U.S., WIPO, and foreign trademark rules and procedures; strong USPTO/WIPO filing experience; ABA-approved paralegal certification required. Hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in office).

California: The pay range for this position is $53.00 to $86.00 per hour.
