Administrative Assistant - Legal Operations

Driven by our continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking an Audit Assistant to join our team and help ensure that company processes comply with internal and client-defined work standards.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee periodic external reviews/audits to ensure timely responses are provided
  • Maintain Audit Calendar
  • Manage Audit Email box and respond or distribute internally as needed
  • Work with management to obtain necessary information for any requested deliverables or remediation
  • Provide assistance to external auditors in compliance reviews and/or audits
  • Consult with management as necessary to address difficult compliance issues and recurrences
  • Review and maintain knowledge of internal policies and Client work standards to ensure compliance
  • Review consumer written communication, internal notes/journals, and/or calls to ensure the actions taken by the Firm were in compliance to the Clients work standards and expectations
  • Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation
  • Periodically assist with internal audit functions as needed
  • All other duties as assigned by the Compliance Manager or Compliance Attorney


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Minimum three years administrative or clerical experience required
  • Debt collection internal audit or process review experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively analyze and creatively solve problems
  • Ability to work efficiently with excellent attention to detail in a high-volume fast paced environment
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a coordinated team
  • Organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation usage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer; proficient with internet research
  • Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
