The primary purpose of this position is to provide expert paralegal and administrative support to the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 66th Air Base Group attorneys in a dynamic, diverse, and complex legal organization providing service across the Air Force enterprise.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must 3 years of progressively responsible general experience, 1 year of which was at least equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04) level, pay band (NH-01) level or equivalent (grade level, pay schedule, pay band, etc) and is described in detail in my resume. An example of creditable general experience is experience in taking dispositive action or response in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures on a wide variety of legal instruments requiring different documentation, planning and organizing work and communicating effectively orally and in writing. NOTE: Due to the use of 120 day rosters; general experience maybe completed within 120 days of the closing of this announcement

EDUCATION: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and general experience with Federal legal and regulatory issues is required. Specific knowledge and experience in research using legal and administrative reference sources including computerized legal and legislative reference sources. Uses experience and knowledge to perform extensive legal research and writing applicable to assigned cases or other tasking.
2. Demonstrated paralegal skills in the assembly and drafting of legal documents and files, including contract files, source selection documentation, responses to discovery requests, agency reports for bid protests, responses to requests for legal opinions, and response to Freedom of Information Act requests.
3. Professional knowledge of paralegal and legal assisting policies, practices, and procedures.
4. Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization and format to be able to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
5. Knowledge, skill and demonstrated ability with computer systems software and skill in operating automated data processing to support office operations and produce a variety of textual documents, reports and databases.
6. Demonstrated ability to conduct oneself in accordance with generally accepted standards of professional demeanor. Knowledge, skill, and demonstrated ability to completing assignments that involve working with diverse and dynamic personalities by gaining their cooperation using tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

- Independently examines, reviews, and processes legal instruments and supporting documents.
- Incumbent performs tasks to establish and maintain workflow and communication with client customers across the Air Force.
- Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents, formats, etc.
- Incumbent provides substantive development complex case files fir use in civil litigation, alternate dispute resolution (ADR), and discovery.
- Incumbent is responsible for the timely completion of administrative duties as assigned by 66th ABG/JA leadership and delegated authorities.
