Lincoln, NE salary range with locality is $74,678 - $97,087.
Omaha, NE salary range with locality is $75,425 - $98,058.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for legal support functions. Typical work assignments will include:
  • Providing technical and analytical assistance to support the litigation needs of the United States Attorney's Office;
  • Performing a variety of litigation support functions necessary to prepare, organize, index, develop, manage, and track exhibits, evidence and data in criminal and civil cases and matters;
  • Assisting attorneys and legal staff in organizing voluminous case information for efficient retrieval;
  • Managing complex electronically stored information (ESI);
  • Processing electronically stored information (ESI) using appropriate tools;
  • Building databases in review software;
  • Training legal support staff on use of processing software, tools, and equipment used in performance of duties;
  • Applying knowledge of court programs, automation requirements, and characteristics to resolve problems.
GS-11: To be eligible at the GS-11 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.

Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience working in a legal environment performing the following two or more of the following duties:
  • providing technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation requirements and system capabilities.
  • organizing and managing voluminous case information.
  • analyzing litigation support requirements to develop or recommend appropriate strategies to meet litigation needs.
  • generating electronic discovery productions that comply with production specifications and deadlines
  • diagnosing and resolving litigation support computer system problems.
OR
Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Legal Studies, Law, Criminal Justice): a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 2 full years.
