To qualify for the position of Supervisory Legal Administrative Specialist, at GS-0901-12, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience organizing and directing the activities of legal support staff; providing legal, technical, and clerical support to attorneys; providing technical advice to legal support staff; assisting attorneys and managing legal support staff in organizing voluminous case information; performing a variety of complex administration support relating to the management and administrative support of the division.

- Performing complex administrative and technical services to the U.S. Attorney's office and providing a mission-critical service to the essential core function of the office - legal support, litigation support, eDiscovery services, and complex data management.
- Actively promoting and providing for training in enhancing approaches to discovery and courtroom presentations, legal support, and other legal aspects.
- Analyzing and evaluating current office systems and developing new or alternative procedures to improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, utilization of staff, use of equipment, distribution of work assignments, caseload management, changes in priorities, workflow, and systems development for the attorney and support staff.
- Managing and providing oversight to the Major Crimes legal administrative support staff providing support to the Criminal Division in Dallas.
- Directly supervising, planning work, setting goals and priorities, and implementing district-wide programs and initiatives.
