This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the General Counsel, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. As a Legal Administrative Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

Minimum Qualifications: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing ALL of the duties listed below:

Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related
OR
Have a combination of education and experience as described above that meets 100% of the requirements.

- Managing high-volume controlled correspondence for the General Counsel, including tracking, routing, and coordinating responses across OGC and other divisions.
- Preparing and reviewing sensitive legal and administrative documents.
- Generating statistical, analytical, and staffing reports to support leadership decision-making utilizing automated tracking systems and databases to monitor case status, correspondence.

- Managing controlled correspondence including communication with IO Staff and OGC Division offices, control guidance, case tracking, deadline management, and client staff assignments (including HRSA, SAMHSA, OASH, ASPR, NIH, CDC, IHS, IEA, AHQR).
- Generating responses to the annual Ethics Questionnaire using the Electronic Financial Disclosure System.
- Generating staffing reports and audits.
- Generating TRACS and Integrated Time and Attendance System (ITAS) reports.
