If selected for this position, you will serve as a Legal Administrative Specialist (Litigation Support) with the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) supporting civil and/or criminal litigation teams. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing a variety of litigation support tasks in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO), which involve complex and voluminous electronic case materials that must be organized, processed, reviewed, produced in discovery, and presented in court.
  • Using specialized software applications (e.g., processing software, document review databases) to perform processing tasks.
  • Identifying and implementing appropriate technical solutions to manage commonly found and complex or non-standard electronically stored information in civil and/or criminal cases.
  • Advising management on litigation technology applications and e-Litigation best practices.
  • Presenting or filing electronic evidence or exhibits in civil or criminal legal proceedings and creating electronic exhibits for court filings, depositions, hearings, or trials.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. GS-12
To be eligible for the GS-12, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as processing complex and voluminous electronically stored information and preparing it for review or production by a litigation team; providing advice, customer support services, and project management services in connection with electronic discovery and evidence, litigation support projects, and litigation technology software applications; and, providing technical assistance to litigation teams presenting electronic evidence in legal proceedings.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
