Purpose of the Role

Mandelbaum Barrett PC is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys handling a high-volume docket of personal injury and wrongful death matters.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Greenwich, CT office (5 days per week) and requires someone who is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role includes direct client interaction and hands-on case management from pre-litigation through trial preparation.


Responsibilities

  • Manage personal injury files from pre-litigation through trial, keeping cases organized and moving forward.
  • Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate discovery, including document collection, production, and deadline tracking.
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case documents.
  • Prepare settlement packages, trial binders, exhibits, and hearing materials.
  • Communicate directly with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage court filings (CT, NY, federal), including e-filing and tracking deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys with case organization, strategy, and trial preparation.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet deadlines and support trial preparation (compensated in accordance with applicable law).


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of personal injury paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
  • Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Strong background in personal injury and/or wrongful death matters.
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads and multiple deadlines.
  • Familiarity with medical records, billing, and damages documentation.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients in sensitive matters.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Connecticut and New York court systems and e-filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.


Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
